During our recent visit to the Boardmaster's Festival 2019 in Newquay, Cornwall, we shot some stunning photography of the Cornish coastline for our 2020 Calendar.

Due to gale force winds the Festival was cancelled but we made the most of it. A break in the weather appeared so we shot some aerial photography too.

The force of nature is a shocking spectacle to witness but makes for some dramatic scenes. The waves were fifteen foot tall, the winds blew at sixty miles an hour and as we were battered by the powerful elements, we captured some breathtaking moments.

Every view has a story to tell, you can simply step back in time and wonder. With a history of piracy, smuggling and shipwrecks there is plenty to see, an inspirational place that leaves everything to the imagination.

As you become overwhelmed by the grandeur of the Cornish countryside, it is easy to miss the smaller details of the environment, the beauty is evident on all levels.

The landscapes appear, although barren and weathered, edged with huge cliff face shorelines and encompassed in vast expanses of sea, providing a daily performance of perfect lighting and inspiring sunrises and sunsets for the photographic eye.
